History:

Paying In Pain started as a small skate 'zine out of San Francisco CA in 1999. Joey (myself) was the editor and Jerry Mraz took most of the photos. It eventually became an actual magazine with international disrtibution and thousands of readers. Tadashi Yamaoda started helping out around issu 20 with some the best photos and interviews we ever did. It was good times.

In 2012 I decided to focus on the website, payinginpain.com. as a skateboard content sharing site.

Paying In Pain makes it easy for anyone to put their skatebaord related content in from of thousands of readers.

Q - How do I post?
A - Register for a free account. It takes 30 seconds.
Q - I made a post where is it?
A - The more upvotes a post gets the higher in the ranking it gets, so if your post doesn't have any upvotes it won't be at the top. Older post automatically rank down. You can also view posts by date. You can vote up or down for a post.
Q - What happens when I post a link?
A - If you post a link, when someone clicks on your post it will go direclty to the URL in your link. If you want more people to see your actual post just post the link within your post using the link button on the post edit screen
Q - Why can't I embed videos?
A - It is possible to embed videos on Paying In Pain, but your status has to be updated to BigGun to do so. Use the contact page to request your account be upgraded.
